Jellyfish in Clear Blue Water

The largest jellyfish fills the left side of the picture. Light passes through its pale bell, showing fine lines beneath the curved surface. Its frilled arms trail towards the rocks below. Across the water, a second large bell glows amber around the rim, with darker threads hanging underneath.

Smaller violet jellyfish drift between the two, above shoals of silver fish. The fish catch the light in short bright flashes. Look closely at the seabed and the dark patches divide into rock, seaweed and narrow crevices. The long tentacles cross several of those patches, giving you thin white and brown lines to follow through the blue.
