Otters beside a Fallen Willow

Otters have no blubber to keep them warm. They rely instead on very dense fur that traps a layer of air against the skin, so they stay dry underneath even after a long swim. A pair of them stare straight back at the camera from a clear stream under a fallen willow, in an otter jigsaw puzzle that is hard not to smile at. Their whiskers are sensitive enough to feel the movement of fish in murky water.
