Owl Flying over a Frosty Meadow

A short-eared owl flies low over a frosty meadow at sunrise, its wings spread against a pink and gold sky.

The spread wings provide a strong shape to assemble before moving into the meadow. Frost creates pale, broken marks rather than one solid white area, so compare each piece with the grass stems nearby. The sunrise sky changes gradually from pink to gold, with the owl's dark body offering a useful centre line. Once owl flying over a frosty meadow is taking shape, the less varied pieces around it become easier to judge by edge and tone.
