Red Fox in a Snowy Birch Grove

A red fox crosses a snowy birch grove between pale trunks marked with dark patches. Its russet coat stands out against blue-white snow, while bent golden grasses break through the drifts around its feet. Thin branches cross the upper frame and add a finer pattern above the open ground.

The fox's face and tail give you two useful warm-color groups to find first. Birch trunks follow different curves and bark marks, so they can be sorted even when their backgrounds look alike. Build the nearest snow shadows around the paws, then trace the footprints into the distance. Dry grasses add small ochre accents among the white pieces. Save the soft blue background for later, once the vertical grove has a stable shape.
