Snow Jigsaw Puzzles

Snow changes an ordinary view by softening edges and making every small trace stand out. Footprints, branches, rooflines and patches of dry grass become valuable clues against the pale ground. What first looks like a broad white section soon separates into reflected light, cool shade and textured snow.

Pale areas have different boundaries. Snow on a roof ends against a dark gutter, a drift curves around a tree, and a tracked path breaks into small indentations. Where the covering thins, the ground shows through in uneven patches. Blue or gray shade can pass across all three, linking separate surfaces without making their textures the same.
