Red Rock Canyon after Rain

Recent rain has darkened the red canyon walls and left long wet streaks on the stone. Shallow pools gather across the canyon floor, reflecting clouds between desert grasses and small shrubs. The passage narrows towards distant cliffs, where sunlight returns beneath a clearing blue sky.

The two tall canyon walls provide separate red and rust-colored groups, though each has its own ledges and shadow lines. Build the main water channel next, following it towards the centre of the image. Reflections are useful below the horizon but should be kept softer than the rock faces above them. Small plants and gravel can finish the foreground once the canyon route is clear.
