Robin among Winter Ivy

A robin perches on a dark branch woven through winter ivy, its orange-red breast bright against the pale garden. Frost crystals silver the leaves, and the bird’s small claws grip the bark just below its rounded body. The soft background keeps attention on the feather pattern and branch.

Place the beak, eye and breast first, then follow the striped wing and tail. Ivy pieces sort by leaf shape and frost, while the branch supplies a dark edge through the middle. Leave the pale background until the bird and its perch have a clean outline.
