Sea Turtle over a Coral Reef

Just below the surface, a green sea turtle glides over a busy coral reef. Sunlight flickers across its shell while striped fish move between sea fans and branching coral. Pale sand showing through the reef keeps the lower half of the picture from becoming a solid mass of color.

The turtle is the natural place to start, especially its patterned shell, head and long front flipper. After that, the orange coral and tall sea fans divide the reef into smaller sections. The tiny fish and sandy gaps take a little longer, but there is always a recognizable shape close by.
