Volcano Crater Lake

A deep blue lake rests inside a volcanic crater at dusk, ringed by rust-colored ridges and patches of green slope. The caldera curves around the water in a broad oval, with a narrow trail tracing the right-hand rim before it drops toward the foreground. Violet clouds and a warm orange horizon sit above distant volcanic hills.

Lake edge pieces should come together early because the dark water makes such a clean boundary against the crater wall. Rust, ocher and green bands then split the rim into smaller sections, especially where erosion marks run down toward the shore. The pale trail on the right gives the eye a route around the caldera, while the soft dusk sky waits as a quieter final area.
