Waterfall through a Fern Valley jigsaw puzzle
A white waterfall drops through a fern-filled valley into a clear green pool. Moss covers the dark rocks around the cascade, while fallen branches cross the right bank and broad fronds frame both sides of the picture. The stream continues through the foreground over rounded stones and small shelves of foam.
The waterfall is the natural vertical anchor, especially where its bright edges meet the dark cliff. Build the pool below it, then use the larger ferns to establish the left and right borders. Mossy rocks have more texture than the shaded leaves and can be grouped by their rounded silhouettes. Keep the pale water separate from the deep greens until the pool and cascade meet.
