Glass Kaleidoscope Mandala

A red glass circle sits at the center of a pattern of blue petals and green arcs. Smaller red circles appear farther out, between amber panes and clear beveled leaves. Dark leading outlines every shape. Some panes shine across their whole surface, while others have only a bright edge around a darker, rippled middle. These uneven reflections give the symmetrical design small differences from one side to the other.

Symmetry makes this picture recognizable, but it also creates near-matches in different parts of the design. A blue petal may share its shape with one opposite it while reflecting light on a different edge. The clear panes are especially subtle, carrying the colors around them in small highlights. Following the joints in the leading helps confirm orientation before committing a similarly colored piece to one side of the pattern.
