Glass Roof over a Winter Garden

An iron-framed glass roof arches over a winter garden of pale stone, bare branches and evergreen plants. Light breaks into long panes across the floor, while the dark ribs of the roof lead toward the far doors. Frosty branches outside soften the view beyond the glass.

Start with the roof ribs and door frames; their clean lines make useful anchors. Group the evergreen shapes by needle texture, then place the stone paving around them. The bright panes can look similar, so follow the angle of each frame instead of relying on color alone.
