Lisbon Hillside View at Sunset

Lisbon's hills fall towards the water in a layered spread of terracotta roofs, pale walls and narrow streets. Evening lamps begin to glow between the houses, while the river catches the low sun beneath a warm coral sky. A domed building, distant bridge and small sailboat add distinct shapes to the open horizon.

The roof tiles create the largest group, but their repeated lines change with each slope. Build the dome and pale church near the middle next, then follow the brightest streets down towards the water. The sunset can be sorted into orange, pink and violet bands. Leave the bridge and sailboat for the final section, when the river edge has a clear outline.
