Macaws in the Rainforest

Two scarlet macaws perch together on a mossy branch in the rainforest. Their red feathers stand out against the deep green leaves, with clear bands of yellow and blue running through the wings. Long tail feathers hang below the branch while spots of sunlight catch the birds' faces and the wet bark.

The two birds face one another, showing different sides of their curved beaks. Their wings repeat red, yellow and blue, but the colored bands meet at different angles. Long tail feathers extend below the mossy perch in narrow strips. Around them, vines and leaf stems are thinner and less regular. Small openings in the canopy carry pale daylight through the dark foliage without matching the birds' white faces.
