Stone Steps into a Hidden Cove

The steps end just above a small beach, where clear water reveals the rocks underneath. Dry grasses and yellow flowers crowd the path. Someone has left a striped towel folded on the wall beside the upper steps. Across the cove, pale cliffs curve out toward the open sea.

There are two quite different blue areas to sort in this coastal puzzle. The near water is turquoise and broken by submerged stone; farther out, the sea becomes a deeper, more even blue. Start with the steps if you like having a line to work along. Their rough edges and deep shadows are easier to recognize than the small leaves beside them.
