Wild Poppies along a Country Lane

Red poppies crowd the bank on the left, their thin petals catching the sun above grasses, white flowers and small yellow buttercups. The nearest blooms are large enough to use as landmarks, while the farther ones become a broken red trail down the slope. A pale lane curves away on the right between a dry stone wall and a wooden gate.

Beyond the hedge, the country opens into layered green hills, scattered trees and a farm building tucked into the valley. The road gives the lower half a clean winding line, but its gravel and twin wheel tracks still carry plenty of small changes. Build the nearest flowers first, then use the wall stones and distant field boundaries to separate the softer landscape.
