Sea Turtles above a Seagrass Bed

Three green sea turtles drift above a wide bed of seagrass, each one taking a slightly different line through the clear water. The nearest shell catches pale sun patterns, while its flippers show the dark scutes and small marks that make the animal easy to place. A sandy channel bends through the grass below, and tiny silver fish keep to the middle distance.

Start with the largest shell, then follow its head and front flippers into the brighter water. The two smaller turtles sit higher in the picture and have more open blue around them. Seagrass blades cross in many directions, but the sand breaks those areas into useful islands. Surface ripples, bubbles and soft light finish the upper edge.
