Spring Rain on Cherry Blossom Paths

Rain has darkened the flat stones along the garden path, leaving shallow pools that hold broken reflections of branches and lantern light. Pink petals gather in the joints between the paving, while moss brightens the edges around the largest rocks. Cherry branches meet overhead, heavy with blossom and dark wet bark.

A red bridge crosses the narrow pond near the centre, with clipped shrubs and small garden buildings beyond it. The mist softens the wooded hills but does not erase their layered shapes. The path is a good place to begin because every stone has its own outline. After that, match the dark branches, red rails and clusters of blossom before tackling the pale grey sky.
