Stone Cloister after Spring Rain jigsaw puzzle
Wet flagstones mirror the repeated arches of an old stone cloister after spring rain. A flowering courtyard opens beyond the covered walkway, with moss in the joints and potted blooms along the columns. Dark drainpipes and carved capitals add sharper vertical and curved details among the pale masonry.
The nearest arcade is a good place to establish the perspective, especially where each arch meets its column. Build the puddle reflections directly below the stone shapes rather than mixing them with the upper walls. Moss gives the lower edge broken green lines, while flowers form small pink and white groups. The courtyard trees soften as they recede. Leave the sky and distant roof for the final pieces, after the cloister has its full frame.
