Lighthouse Waves after a Storm

The lighthouse stands on dark rocks as the last heavy waves spend themselves along the shore. White spray rises beside the tower, while water runs back through channels in the foreground and leaves long pieces of kelp shining on the stone. A break in the clouds sends warm light across the horizon without turning the scene gentle.

The white tower and red door are the clearest starting points. Below them, the rocks change from sharp dry ridges to smooth black surfaces covered with water. Foam creates loose pale shapes that never repeat exactly, and the sea behind the spray carries several blue-gray layers. Keep the cloud opening for later, when the horizon and tower silhouette are already settled.
